As an Asian American therapist originally from San Diego and a first-generation college graduate, she brings both personal and professional insight to the therapeutic relationship. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Diego State University and went on to complete a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. Her interest in the mind-body connection was deeply influenced by her work as a certified yoga instructor during graduate school. Since then, she has received extensive clinical training at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, the University of Northern Colorado, and the Boulder Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. During these trainings, she gained experience in delivering evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches. These experiences have shaped her integrative and culturally-informed approach to therapy.
She is passionate about creating a safe, collaborative, and empowering space for growth and healing. Dr. Cetnar values lifelong learning, both professionally and personally, and finds deep meaning in supporting others through their mental health journeys. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking in the Colorado mountains, skiing, reading, practicing yoga, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her partner, baby, and two dogs.
