Hello, I’m Dr. Aerial Cetnar, a licensed therapist in Boulder, Colorado

I provide evidence-based therapy to adults, college students, and individuals navigating perinatal mental health, trauma, and life transitions in Boulder, Colorado. As an Asian American therapist originally from San Diego and a first-generation college graduate, I bring both personal and professional insight to the therapeutic relationship. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Diego State University and went on to complete a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. I’m now a Licensed Professional Counselor (#0018197).

My interest in the mind-body connection was deeply influenced by my work as a certified yoga instructor during graduate school. Since then, I’ve received extensive clinical training at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, the University of Northern Colorado, and the Boulder Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. During these trainings, I gained experience in delivering evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches. These experiences have shaped my integrative and culturally-informed approach to therapy.

As a Boulder-based therapist, I am passionate about creating a safe, collaborative, and empowering space for growth and healing. I value lifelong learning, both professionally and personally, and I find deep meaning in supporting others through their mental health journeys. Outside of my work, I enjoy hiking in the Colorado mountains, skiing, reading, practicing yoga, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my partner, our baby, and our two dogs.
