Dr. Aerial Cetnar
Dr. Cetnar is the owner of Boulder Therapy & Wellness and provides evidence-based therapy to adults navigating trauma, relationships and life transitions in Boulder, Colorado. As an Asian American therapist originally from San Diego and a first-generation college graduate, she brings both personal and professional insight to the therapeutic relationship. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Diego State University and went on to complete a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. Her interest in the mind-body connection was deeply influenced by her work as a certified yoga instructor during graduate school. Since then, she has received extensive clinical training at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, the University of Northern Colorado, and the Boulder Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. During these trainings, she gained experience in delivering evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches. These experiences have shaped her integrative and culturally-informed approach to therapy.
She is passionate about creating a safe, collaborative, and empowering space for growth and healing. Dr. Cetnar values lifelong learning, both professionally and personally, and finds deep meaning in supporting others through their mental health journeys. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking in the Colorado mountains, skiing, reading, practicing yoga, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her partner, baby, and two dogs.
Dr. Jordyn Skaggs
Dr. Jordyn Skaggs is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY.0006857) in Colorado who works with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, grief and major life transitions. She brings a grounded, compassionate approach to therapy that helps clients better understand themselves, build emotional resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Originally from the Midwest, Dr. Skaggs earned her undergraduate degree from California University of Pennsylvania before completing both her Master’s degree and Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University in San Diego. Her training spans a wide range of clinical settings, giving her a deep understanding of how early experiences, attachment patterns, and life stressors shape adult mental health.
Dr. Skaggs began her clinical work with children and adolescents involved in the probation system and juvenile hall, where she developed a strong foundation in trauma-informed care. During her APA-accredited internship with Monterey County, she provided evidence-based attachment-focused therapy and psychological assessments for both children and adults through the Department of Children and Family Services.
She completed her postdoctoral training in an outpatient private practice in San Diego, where she worked extensively with adolescents and adults experiencing trauma, eating disorders, identity and life-stage transitions. This experience further shaped her ability to support clients facing complex emotional challenges, relational patterns, and periods of uncertainty or change.
Dr. Skaggs’ therapy style is warm, patient, and supportive, while also gently encouraging clients to challenge unhelpful patterns and move toward growth. She values a balance of empathy and accountability, collaborating closely with clients to help them feel understood, empowered, and capable of healing. Her goal is to create a safe, respectful space where clients can deepen self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, and reconnect with their own inner resources.
